They say preparation is the key to success - and that my friends is true.
We have been so busy writing new material and working hard to re shape some existing tunes to deliver you a brand stonking new EP.
As the boot door slams we waste no time in heading off up to Derbyshire to record with Tom and Barrington (and Doug the Pug) at @Soundhub studios.
The guys know their business and understand what we are aiming to achieve. The hours and work the lads put into achieving the sound was awesome and we can't thank them enough.
Jase took up an armoury of cymbals to get the right balance for each track. The Stagg Sensa stacker was worth its weight in gold and gave some unusual sizzle tones to the proceedings and the monster pdp snare with wooden hoops packed more punch than a UFC fighter.
Nadia used her customised Sqiuer P Bass through a massive Ampeg stack
Ian used a Fender Jag, Fender Strat, Fender Tele and an Epiphone Casino all through multiple foot pedals, a Marshall JCM 9000 and a wall of Marshall and Orange cabs. It was cranked so loud that you could hear the guitars over 200m away in Belper High Street!
So after 4 days of hard graft, blood, sweat (and Gregg's breakfasts - £3 for a bacon sarnie and coffee - can't grumble at that) we have come up with something huge and very special.
It's the best we have sounded yet and with some cheeky little samples, plenty of grit and attitude thrown in the new EP is shaping up nicely.
